This podcast launched in September of 2018 with the simple goal of helping fellow entrepreneurs build profitable businesses that support their version of a happy, satisfying life.
It's been a conversational podcast format with just Jason and Caroline from Day 1. No guests, no book release interviews, no "experts"—just a married couple who have been working together for over a decade, chatting about their lessons from building two sustainable, enjoyable online businesses.
What two businesses, you might ask? Great question. Wandering Aimfully is a monthly un-boring coaching program for online business owners who want to build calm businesses. Teachery is a software platform for designers who want to sell beautifully branded online courses.
Over the years, the name of this podcast has changed (twice!), but the intention has remained largely the same: provide a necessary alternative to every business advice podcast that encourages hyper-growth, external metrics of success, and a fast track to burnout.

Each of these name refreshes came at a moment when we further crystalized the value our content brings to online businesses owners. After over five years of uploading, it became clear that people were coming to our show to grow their businesses, but in a lasting and sustainable way, hence our latest era of Growing Steady.
These days, we upload every Thursday, with two intentional breaks throughout the year—one in June/July to enjoy summer, and one in December to slow down during the holidays. Otherwise, you can expect regular uploads every week.
Other VERY important things you should know:
- We call listeners "Cinnamon Rollers" - you'll have to journey back through the catalog to find the origin of that one
- We refer to Wandering Aimfully as "WAIM" for short. So, if you hear us say that, it's not just us referring over and over to our friend Wayne (though we DO have a lovely friend named Wayne...Hi, Wayne! 👋)
